Welcome to the July issue of Total Carp – on the cover is none other than Dave Lane, with a proper character of a Woolpack common. A beautiful fish indeed, but far from the biggest carp that met his net this month! It seems that the only thing that could stop this man’s winning streak is a trip to Thailand… who knows what next month’s Diary is going to look like!
Another banger of a feature this month was Mike Holly’s return to Thorney Weir, which resulted in a bit of a red-letter session for him. I’ve been doing this job for a good while now, so I always love to see a tactic that I’ve never seen used before – Mike’s tiny pellet hook baits was a proper edgy little tactic and something I can certainly see myself implementing in my own fishing going forward!
There are loads more great tactical pieces in this issue too, covering everything you’re likely to experience over the next few months. From surface to edge fishing and so much more, you can be assured that (should the weather hopefully improve) we can all look forward to a carp-filled couple of months.
Add to this a 32-page Summer Bait Guide, produced in collaboration with Sticky Baits and this issue has more content than you can shake a stick at!
